Creative problem-solving is an essential skill that leaders must have in today’s business environment. Effective leaders are individuals who can think creatively and generate innovative approaches to overcome obstacles.

Google, a tech industry giant, provides a successful example of creative problem solving in business. Google implemented an innovative employee perk in order to boost morale and keep their workforce — providing free gourmet meals at the company cafeteria. This seemingly straightforward solution not only increased employee contentment, but also promoted a feeling of togetherness and teamwork among staff members. The creative problem-solving approach adopted by Google has become synonymous with the company’s culture.

The retail industry also provides another example of innovative problem-solving in business. As online shopping started posing a threat to traditional physical stores, companies such as Nordstrom adopted an innovative approach to adjust to the developing market.
