When I assisted my company in setting up our philanthropic efforts, I embraced a philosophy that revolves around alignment, impact, partnership, and transparency, when it comes to both philanthropy and community engagement.

We started by examining our fundamental beliefs and abilities, questioning how our interests and societal demands aligned with the local population, and strived towards matching their goals.

When considering philanthropic initiatives, it’s important to not only focus on the resources we can contribute, but also to pinpoint areas where our individual strengths can address important needs.

Based on my experience, this has involved prioritizing not only financial contributions but also considering how our products, services, and expertise can benefit society as a whole.

We started by working with some local charities, deciding how our advertising power and money would assist them the most.
